Lithology and Thickness
Dimbabah Fm LITHOLOGY= Represents the last of the Carboniferous marine formations in Libya. Lower unit of gypsiferous slaystone with minor siltstone and thinly bedded argillaceous limestone. The upper unit is composed of dolomites with claystones and siltstones. Deposited in a shallow basin, which was occasionally subject to evaporation. CALIBRATION = Base of Muscovian.
